Description
Fully assembled board including wired terminal plate with terminals and mains switch with fuse.
DC blocking in the AC mains power, EMI suppression and over voltage protection in one circuit.
The Audio products MPOA largely reduces the DC part in the AC line and in addition suppresses EMI with a powerful mains filter circuit and also adds an over voltage protection circuit to the mix.
Do NOT underestimate the influence of the mains power on the performance of your audio equipment. A problem well known to affect the performance of audio equipment is DC on the mains, especially power amplifiers with large torroidal transformers are sensitive to these DC levels.
In theory the mains electricity we obtain from the sockets in our homes should be pure AC with a perfectly symmetrical sine wave alternating between positive and negative phases. However, the presence of asymmetrical loads like household devices that use the AC energy available in the mains cycle unevenly, from dimmer switches to kitchen appliances, hair dryers, computer power supplies and even car chargers causes the waveform to become offset, resulting in the presence of DC voltage on the AC supply. This DC voltage often result in humming power transformers.
The EMI filter scrubs most of the rubbish put in the mains by power line network extenders, smart power meters and signal used by your utility provider to control smart equipment on the power grid like street light ect.
The over-voltage protection trips on voltage spikes above 270VAC to actively protect your expensive equipment from damage.
